About us

At ITALIKU, Italian and Japanese cultures work to inspire and pay tribute to each other. This concept of contamination inspires ideas and flavours. Every dish has a distinctive Italian backbone with an inimitable Japanese twist, from preparation to final presentation. "A chef's ambition is to let culture influence his cuisine, aiming to create something new. He is not limited by tradition, but instead uses it as inspiration for how the ingredients should be respected."

The Chef

Head Chef Ivan Simeoli is an Italian chef who is giving a fresh, artistic twist on traditional Italian cuisine in Britain. With early career training in Massimo Bottura's Osteria Francescana, he gained 15 years experience in high-profile London restaurants, from the Ambassador Hotel in Bloomsbury to the Royal Academy of Arts and The Wallace Collection, alongside Oliver Peyton for seven years. From 2016 to 2019, he has been Chef of the modern Italian restaurant Osteria 60 in Kensington, where he developed innovative techniques and dishes alongside Yoji Tokuyoshi.
